Tasty sandwich for summer

This is one of my favorite sandwiches! It is super easy to make, has 2 main ingredients and is very light. Summer is the best time to eat raw foods, especially here in the North East states. Raw foods are very cooling to the body. Unlike popular summer barbecues full of burgers and hot dogs which can raise body temperature and making you flock indoors to air conditioning! Next time you are feeling overheated and hungry try this:

Tom-Avo Sammich:

2 slices of bread – My favorite is sprouted grain
1/2 ripe avocado
1/2 medium tomato

Thats the base! Now you can add a few of your favorite toppings. Pictured to the right we have added cashew butter, crushed cashew for a crunchy texture, red bell pepper and a squeeze of lemon. You can also try hummus, mustard, sprouts, carrots, celery or mushrooms. Be creative.

Notice your body temperate vs after eating a meal heavy of animal products.
