It’s HOT out and it’s going to be close to 100 degrees in the next few days here in CT. Do you need help cooling off? Are you tired of sweating too much?
Sweating is natural and you need to learn to love your sweat, especially when being active. It is your bodies way of cooling itself down. But sometimes sweating can be excessive and cause embarrassment. I have some natural remedies for you to reduce how much you sweat.
First, you must try and avoid (or reduce) these things which cause you to sweat:
1. Smoking.
2. Spicy Foods.
3. Dairy.
4. Alcohol.
5. Caffeine.
6. Meat.
What you put in your body greatly affects how much you sweat. Foods that help you cool off and sweat less are:
1. All types of melons, my favorite is watermelon!
2. Cucumbers. Add to your water or make a salad.
3. Citrus Fruits such as lemons and oranges.
4. Aloa vera, yes you can find juice made form this!
5. Mint. Add to water or fruit salad.
6. Almost any raw fruit or vegetable.
Are you one of the many who sweat excessively no matter what you do?
You may have a condition called hyperhidrosis. You may want to see a doctor for a diagnosis, but he/she will likely only treat the symptom with highly toxic chemicals. There is a natural cure!
Sage is natures antiperspirant!
It has been known to cut sweating in half! Sage has been used as a safe remedy for excessive sweating throughout much of human history. You can take sage many different ways.
1. Sage Liquid leaf extract – Follow instructions on the label.
2. Dried Sage Leaves – Boil 1 cup water, and remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon dried sage and allow it to steep for three to five minutes. Do not brew for too long, or harmful toxins may be released from the leaves. Pour the tea through a strainer, and add optional lemon or honey. Drink about three cups of the cooled tea a day. You can also apply sage tea directly to the skin (like for sweaty feet!)
3. Dried Sage Capsules – Follow instructions on the label.
You can see results in as little as two weeks. Let me know how it works for you.
Never take sage if you suffer from a chronic seizure condition of any kind. In addition, some herbal therapies are made with sugar and/or alcohol, so check the ingredients list carefully if you suffer from diabetes, alcohol dependence issues or liver disease. Sage is not recommended for use while pregnant or breastfeeding because no studies have ever or will ever be done on its safety for unborn children.
