What takes 2-mins a day and can extend your lifespan?

Flossing!

That’s right, this simple act so many of us forget to do on a regular basis – if at all. For me, I floss several times per week and I am amazed at how much gunk comes out from in between my teeth.  I try to floss before brushing but sometimes I forget and floss after I brush.

If you don’t believe flossing does any good, I recommend flossing AFTER you give your teeth a good through brushing. I am willing to bet you’ll pull out quite a few partials that your tooth brush would have never reached. Thats proof enough for me that flossing is necessary for good oral health.

Not only is it good for oral health, but flossing is good for internal health. By removing the bad bacteria before it enters your system you are helping to prevent heart disease and other complications.

  • 60% of dentists think it is more important than brushing. (I would say equally as important)
  • Only 18% of population Flosses! (Really? That few!)
  • Gets rid of bacteria = fresher breath! (Always a good thing)
  • Lowers risk of heart disease, periodontal disease and gingivitis.
  • Large sugar consumers have increased risk.
  • Oral Hygiene is great for overall health.
