Why I choose NOT to get the flu vaccine

Every year about this time people in America (and other northern hemisphere countries) are urged to get the flu vaccine. The Center for Disease Control has such a successful marketing campaign that people demand it!

More and more studies are coming out on the effectiveness and safety on vaccines and it makes me quite suspicious.

Reasons I am choosing NOT to get the flu vaccine now… or ever:

  1. The majority of flu shots contain 25 micrograms of mercury; an amount considered unsafe for anyone weighing less than 550 pounds!
  2. The vaccines also contain aluminum, formaldehyde, toxic detergents, antibiotics and anti-freeze. GROSS!
  3. Anaphylactic shock (and other life-threatening allergic reactions)
  4. Joint inflammation and arthritis OUCH!
  5. Numerous possible diseases linked to the flu vaccine
    • Alzheimer’s disease
    • Autism (From the mercury)
    • Guillain-Barré syndrome, a paralytic autoimmune disease
  6. Doesn’t protect you against all strains of the flu virus
  7. Getting vaccinated can cause you to actually get the flu (or flu-like symptoms) SHIVERS!
  8. No studies prove is causes less flu related deaths in the elderly.

There is a better way to protect yourself:

  • Get plenty of sunshine or
  • Take vitamin D3 supplements
  • Exercise, Even walk just to get blood circulating
  • Get plenty of rest, 7-8 hours of sleep
  • Be aware of your stress levels, work toward reducing them
  • Eat a diet high in whole foods, fruits and veggies – low in sugar and processed food.

Evidence suggests Vitamin D may be the most beneficial vitamin for disease prevention and it is a possibility that influenza is a symptom of vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D greatly improves your immune systems ability to fight viruses and bacteria. It’s also great for your bones. Think about this: Why do illnesses such as the flu and colds prevail during the winter months? It is a time when people are exposed to much less sunshine, therefore getting less natural vitamin D.

I choose to take 2000 IUs of vitamin D3 per day when I am not exposed to adequate sunshine. Which means everyday in the winter months because I live in a northern state. Since dont like taking pills I either throw a tablet in my smoothie or opt for a chocolate chewable by Enzymatic Therapy.
